You've seen my body so save my soul, I got enough on my plate, I've been getting fatter while you've got better, So you throw it in my face, You never gave a shit and if you did, You'd just throw it in my face, While you got better I got fatter, In the counter clock world chorus If there was another way, I'd be weasling out of that one just the same, Don't judge me as if you didn't know, I've always been this way... LIAR! You've seen my body so save my soul, I got enough on my plate, I've been getting fatter while you've got better, and you just laugh in my face, You never gave a shit and if you did, You'd just throw it in my face, While you got better I've got fatter, In the counter clock world chorus LIAR!

about

Recorded on various 4-track portastudio's between Sept '93, and Oct. '96. The bulk of it was recorded in 1995. All of it was recorded in Sydney, Australia.

The songs were originally written and recorded as (very) rough demo's with the intention of them forming the initial set for a new band called 'Pisswand' . The band was a side project for members of established Sydney and Brisbane Indie bands like Midget, Tweezer, Lunarcide and Screamfeeder. Enthusiasm waned and the songs got absorbed by Sphagnum Core (as I ended up with the recordings). It also explains the more than lo fi nature of the recordings. ,

about

Sphagnum Core Sydney, Australia

Radio jingles + indie rock

90% of this was written and recorded on the spot using a motley combination of decrepit instruments, drum machines and musicians.

The bands initial inspiration were the porn-video catalogues that kept arriving in our letterbox from Canberra each month - hence song titles like 'The Enema Marathon', and 'Teenage Sperm'.

Sydney via NZ and Melbourne.
